Our team had a great evening at the 25th Annual Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards Banquet hosted by the Louisiana Chapter of the American Concrete Institute. Our project, the Causeway Boulevard Overpass at Airline Drive Rehabilitation, received two prestigious awards: 2023 Best Overall Concrete Project Award and the 2023 Infrastructure Project Award of Excellence.
The Causeway Boulevard/Airline Drive Interchange, originally constructed nearly 70 years ago, presented a unique set of challenges and opportunities. This complex infrastructure features a four-lane overpass, eight ramps, and an elevated traffic circle. Design Engineering, Inc. played a pivotal role in this multi-phase project, showcasing our expertise in structural evaluation, load rating, design, and construction engineering and inspection services.
